Notice Regarding Child Custody or Visitation
The Second District Court of Appeal expedites domestic relations appeals that involve disputes over child custody or visitation. Based upon only the notice of appeal and a copy of the order appealed, it is impossible for the court to determine at case set-up whether child custody or visitation is at issue in a proceeding.
If either party to a proceeding anticipates that he or she will brief an issue relating to child custody or visitation, that party must within ten days file a notice with this court so indicating.
The notice shall identify the appellate case number assigned to the proceeding and shall be entitled "Notice of Custody or Visitation Issue."
