Judge Vincent T. Hall

Judge Vincent T. Hall was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on August 2, 1932.  He is married to Shirley Ziel Hall.  He has four children - Dr. Richard H. Hall, Steven V. Hall, Diane Hall White, and Kathleen Hall Willis.  He received his B.A. degree from Duke University in 1954 and completed his first year of law school at Duke University prior to serving in the United State s Air Force from 1955 to 1957 as a First Lieutenant.  He received his LL.B. degree from the University of Miami in 1958 and began the practice of law with his father, M. Lewis Hall, Sr., and brothers, M. Lewis Hall, Jr. and Frank D. Hall, of the firm of Hall and Hedrick in Miami.  He moved to Arcadia in 1964 and started the law firm of Hall and Brown with Fletcher Brown.  He was a founding member of the DeSoto County Hospital Board and chairman from 1967 through 1968.  He was elected as DeSoto County Judge in 1968, reelected in 1972, serving as County Judge from 1969 to 1975.  He was appointed a Circuit Judge for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit in 1975, elected in 1976, and reelected in 1982, serving as Circuit Judge until March 8, 1985, when he was appointed to the Second District Court of Appeal by Governor Graham.  Judge Hall was retained by the electorate in November of 1986 and again in 1992.
