Judge Oliver L. Green

Judge Green volunteered for service int he army immediately before the Korean War.  he received combat decorations including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Theater Ribbons, and the Purple Heart.
Judge Green received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the university of Alabama and subsequently a Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1958.  He was thereafter in general practice of law and became a d Municipal Judge for the city of Lakeland, Florida, in 1971.  Later in 1971 he was appointed Polk County Magistrate Judge and held that office until elected Circuit Judge in January 1973.  eh served as a Circuit Judge until becoming a Judge of the Second District Court of Appeal on January 1, 1998.
He service in every division of the tenth Judicial Circuit Court including the office of Chief Judge on two occasions.  Judge Green has taught under-graduate and graduate college courses for Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, and Florida Southern college, Lakeland, Florida.
Judge Green has served on most committees of the Conference of Circuit Judges including the office of Elected District Representative, Second District.  He was recently a board Member of the Florida Bar Foundation and has served for many years on the committee of Conduct Governing Judges, now knows as the Judicial Ethics Committee.  Judge Green has served as chairman of Conduct Governing Judges committee on two occasions.
He has also been active in Florida Bar work, having served on many Bar committees, including the Judicial Administration, Selection and Tenure Committee, the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee, Rules of  Judicial Administration Committee, and Criminal Procedures Rules Committee.
